A large center console with a nearby USB port adds even more space.
Available in seven spectacular colors, the Insight offers the Honda Sensing® suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies, three-mode drive system (ECON/Sport/EV), a multi-angle rearview camera, Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® and streaming audio, auto high-beam headlights, fold-down rear seatback, 160-watt audio system with six speakers, a seven-inch driver information interface, and more.
The Perfect Ride for…
The driver seeking a fun, capable, four-passenger hybrid that offers the flexibility to ride just about anywhere with impressive fuel economy. Sporty paddle shifters put the power of regenerative braking in your hands, and a remote start button gives you a boost when you’re ready to go. Whether you’re a commuter navigating heavy traffic or a weekender traversing country roads on your way to see family and friends, the Insight is designed to fit into your busy life.
The base model, the Insight LX, is a smart choice with wealth of standard features, including Honda Sensing, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, auto high beams, a 7-inch infotainment screen plus a 5-inch audio display, six speakers, heated door mirrors, and HandsFreeLink. Want a little more? Upgrade to the EX trim for all of the above plus smart entry, Honda LaneWatch, remote start, 8-inch Display Audio, eight speakers, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, satellite and HD radio, and a 60/40 split rear seatback. The top trim line, Insight Touring, offers additional features including on-board navigation, a moonroof, leather seats and steering wheel, HondaLink, a 10-speaker premium audio, heated power front seats, dual-zone climate control, and more.
Drive & Handling
The Honda Insight features a two-motor hybrid system: an electric motor that powers the front wheels and a second motor that charges the lithium-ion battery. These two motors in harmony with an aptly-sized 1.5-liter i-VTEC® engine combine to offer fuel efficiency and consistent performance excellence. The 2020 Insight can operate in three modes: electric-only, gasoline-only, or a combination of gas and electric. In EV mode, the Insight can cover up to one mile using electricity alone. Assistive driving features like Eco Assist™ System and Hill Start Assist make your drive even more effortless.
Honda LaneWatch™ Sees What Drivers Can’t
All Insight models are equipped with Honda LaneWatch™ to increase visibility and reduce crash risk. When you use your right-turn indicator, a rear-facing camera mounted below the passenger-side mirror will capture an image of what is in the blind spot to the right of the car, relaying it to your infotainment screen. Even if you’re not turning, pressing the LaneWatch button activates the camera, letting you know if you can safely move to your right.
Crisp and Clear 8-Inch Infotainment Screen
Inside the Insight EX and Touring trims is an 8-inch infotainment screen with an intuitive interface along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity. Based on previous-owner feedback, Honda added a volume button back into the mix for easy access, which makes it that much simpler to sing along to your favorite tunes on the road.
Love the size of the Insight but want an all-gasoline engine? Take a look at the Honda Civic, which offers the fuel economy its customers have always loved in a delightfully modern design. Need something a little bigger? Honda’s Accord Hybrid will give you more leg room along with the safety and efficiency you expect in a modern hybrid.
